Salute my shorts

I just want to say how much I love these shorts. I have always had an especially difficult time finding real running shorts that work on my body. I have thick thighs and most shorts ride up horribly and cause painful chafing. Most also simply look bad on me. But these actually look a bit more flattering, and most importantly they are comfortable! I've run half-marathons (no Vaseline either) and even a marathon in these and they were wonderful. I'm not really one for "fashionable" running clothes, but I don't even care that every other female runner in the world owns a pair of these shorts and that they're by Nike. They are actually worth the price. I actually haven't worn any other running shorts since I bought my first pair this past summer. I have three pairs: black, dark blue/green, and light blue/dark blue. They have many other nifty color combinations out there. I especially like the gray/blue and gray/green combos, and even gray/pink and purple if it's a lighter grayish-purple shade, but they are hard to find in size small. Still, that's one reason why it's so exciting to find a pair in a color I like. =) And so I salute you, Nike Tempo Shorts!

I ran in these shorts tonight, at 9 p.m., in the rain, in the YUCK, etc. Actually it was a pretty nice run. Cold, but only invigoratingly so after five minutes of warming up. Tomorrow we're having a company lunch at Grazie! so I am excited. If only I didn't have a ton of stuff to do.
