Baloo sits in my parents' driveway in Clarksville. Yes, I think it may finally be the end for the valiant Bonneville. He's not running so well, and while the problem may not be major, I can't keep pouring money into him. Dad is going to look for some good deals on used cars for me, although we haven't ruled out fixing Baloo. I can't even come close to affording a car right now, but the parents are insisting on helping me out, so I guess I'm just going to have to wait on being self-sufficient. I can get another extended loan from them, and hopefully some help with the insurance, and then maybe once I get a job after school, I can pay them back. Agh, so many loans. On the plus side, while Baloo is in limbo, I am borrowing Mom's 2004 Honda Accord. Mmmyes. I had forgotten what it's like to drive a car that actually goes when you press the accelerator.
My summer classes start tomorrow, which means I'm in for another five weeks of school; Knoxies can go back to making fun of me now. I'm taking two classes, one on magazine reporting and one on computerized publication design. I'm really just hoping that neither is too time consuming. I might go back to writing more for the IDS and I'd rather devote more time to that because IDS = money/published clips.
I am really excited about going to Knox's conference meet this weekend. Mark is in two events with a chance to medal, one of which is the 4 x 400, which is arguably the most exciting event to watch. Various other people are also doing really well, and I can't wait to see them.
