Ann Arbor fun

The weekend in Ann Arbor was a great time, as usual. On Friday, we all went to the movie house, where Mike, Craig, and Kristen saw Casino Royale and Joan, Mark and I saw Stranger Than Fiction (which was marvelous, by the way). On Saturday we went to the farmer's market, which was a treat. And on Sunday morning before we left I finally went running along the Huron River.

Today's run was one of the best I've had in a long while. The weather lately has been extremely temperate, and I felt comfortable today in shorts and a thin cotton long-sleeve t-shirt, even as it was getting dark. The air felt perfect. I ran in front of a gym in which a row of treadmills faces out to the street behind a huge window, and (as usual) I wondered how they could bear to run inside on such a day. I can understand on the days I run by dripping from the rain or covered with snowflakes, but on a perfect autumn evening? It's beyond me. I wanted to go longer than 35 minutes, but so soon after being sick I was feeling a little winded by that point, so I called it a night. I'm just glad to be back to (mostly) normal.
